March 28th, 2004 Cory Massarro, Sho-dan
August 2006 attending Duke University.

Cory Massarro started training at the age of 8 with Sensei Heidi Gauntner. This was at a kids class at Kent State University.  Cory has always been a fine karate practitioner.  He has stayed strong with his  training, missing little time in the dojo.  Cory tested for his Shodan on March 28th, 2004.  This was 8 years after his beginning the art. He has been in his brown belt for 4 years knowing that he would not be able to attain his Black Belt until his 16th birthday. During the last 5 years he has helping Sensei Gauntner teach classes. He is becoming a fine instructor.  Sensei Massarro presently helps in teaching classes at the dojo as well as continues his personal development in Isshinryu Karate.
